Our Ministry through Worship and Prayer
Worship and Prayer strengthen all phases of our life together as a Christian community. Through these means we inform, celebrate and fortify our Caring, Serving and Tithing and Growing. Christians must always seek better ways to worship and pray and we must never cease in our efforts to establish worship and prayer as the Central focus of our life.
Worship is the High Moment in our life together at Peoples Church. It is the time when we come together to praise and thank God for all God's many blessings. In worship we celebrate the new life and new meaning we have in Jesus Christ and find strength and direction for doing God's work in the world.
God blesses us with good music and excellent preaching at each service. We are the "Friendliest Church in the City." We warmly welcome our guests and graciously invite them to join us at the Lord's Table whenever we observe Holy Communion. We know no "strangers." All who gather here are brothers and sisters in Christ and are a part of the great family of God. Worship with us each Sunday.
We invite you to become a member of Peoples Church. We are an open family of Christian believers who earnestly seek to do God's will as revealed to us in Jesus Christ. We are a caring and serving people who humbly respond to the call of Jesus to share the cost and joy of discipleship. We strive to be faithful as a people of God. We love each other but also the whole world to whom a loving God sent God's Son.
There is always room in our Christian Family. There is room for you. We welcome your becoming a part of Peoples Church. We warmly invite you to respond to the call of Jesus Christ when we "open the doors" of the Church at the singing of the Hymn of Invitation. Worship Services are at 8:30am and 11am.
Sunday School Classes are at 10:30am.
Wednesday Prayer Services are at 12pm and 7pm. |
